Verse 8 • The best is like the way of water...

The best is like the way of water:
It brings benefit to everything around.
Not contending with a thing is water,
And look! the lowly places that it's found.
And so we say:
Like water is the Way.

It's best to build a house upon the ground.
It's best to have a heart that is profound.
To have a heart for friends, to speak the truth,
To love order in the state and under every roof.
To love good deeds and fruition as their proof.

Nothing could be better than a way like this,
To start no strife and never make a miss.
